Candle of the Month |May 2016

Spring is all the way in the air with this one. Bath and Body Works has gotten some new scents and I’m stepping out of my comfort zone to try them. The Lemon Mint Tea Candle is a new bedroom favorite. It’s not romantic (haha my bedroom and romance) or extra flowery. But it’s clean and fresh and refreshing. The spearmint leaves of the candle are cooling and calming. When I come home after a long day, I walk into my room and light it and leave it for a few moments. When I walk back in, my entire room has transformed into a zen garden. FullSizeRender 3

The mint is definitely the strongest feature of this candle but I will be the first to say that without the balancing effects and zest of the lemon and the itty bitty verbena, this candle wouldn’t last two seconds in my house. Bath and Body Works really know how to test and balance their oils and their scents so much so that it is my belief that this is one of the brands (and one of the candles definitely) that is true to the first whiff in the store.

Because we all know that you do a little waft waft here and waft waft there but actually buying a candle takes a lot of courage and faith that what you’re sensing in the store wont be a polar opposite of what you’re bringing into your home. What’s more? Bath and Body Works always has the best hook up sale so your struggling medical student doesn’t have to break her budget to have and smell nice things.

Conclusion? Consensus? This is a beautiful and unique candle that is key to my relaxing ritual after class. I hope that you guys check it out and leave any comments or questions below. What candle should I try next month?
