Candle of the Month | September 2016

The Collection candles, found at Target, have been giving us a new and organic realness as of late and are becoming the favorites of many bloggers and consumers. I finally decided to give one of their scents a try. The Cashmere Plum Candle is one that I picked up specifically for this blog post (if you read this blog you know I love candles). So here goes.

Up close and personal, this candle’s scent is amazing and actually really calming despite the fact that “plum” makes you think of energizing fruit. The candle is more fruity than earthy but it is not overpowering and I read one reviewer calling it “kind of sexy.” It is a small candle made with soy and paraffin wax. The website says it has a burn time of 25 hours but I think that that is a little exaggerated. I’ve burned mine for maybe seven hours and it’s half way done.

The Collection candles are made in the United States and have a cute enough size to make great gifts. I would definitely recommend this scent in particular because I loved it the most in store and it’s sweet and light burning in the home. Also, the packaging is to die for. My only recommendation is that if you use candles to fragrance entire rooms, try to buy more than one. The scent is fantastic, don’t get me wrong, but it isn’t strong enough to cover a large room. That might have something to do with the size of the candle also. I’ll be repurchasing (two next time) and continuing my crazy candle lady journey.

Thanks for reading lovelies. Comment down below if you’ve ever tried The Collection candles. Until next time…XX!
